Meet our New Doc!

Hello everyone!

Dr. Abbie Parrish

My name is Dr. Abbie Parrish, and I’m so excited to (virtually) meet you! I’m a fellow southerner from west Tennessee. I’m from a big family, and I am a natural born extrovert. I am also kinda hipster and a little bit of an academia nerd. The power of intentional classroom education and comradery of classmates pushing towards a common goal has been one of my favorite experiences to date.

I graduated high school in 2013 with 41 college credits. After a couple years of undergraduate work, I moved to St. Louis, MO in 2015 to finish my bachelor’s degree while entering Logan University’s chiropractic program. I graduated with my BS in Life Science in 2016 and Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2018. While in grad school, I also developed and pursued an interest in Acupuncture. I began additional course work through the university’s post-graduate program in 2016, and achieved my Acupuncture NBCE board certification last fall.

My interest in Chiropractic stims from a couple of things: pragmatic application and genuine interactions between the doctor and patient. A pair of hands and thoughtful mind is all that is needed to provide care to a patient, and I really love that about the profession. In a world I often feel is hurried and very guarded, I am very much aware of the privilege it is to serve my patients through intentional communication, fellowship, and human touch. It’s a deep hope and earnest prayer I continually recognize the beauty of working with world’s greatest creation: mankind.

I enjoy working with people of all ages and all stages of life. My case specialties include headache, migraine, spinal aches and pains, women’s wellness, and extremity work. I also have a personal background working with special needs populations and working with the families, siblings, and those directly affected by the spectrum have my heart.

When I’m living life outside of the office, my hobbies include working with special needs communities and exploring the world via local eateries. I enjoy pretending to be outdoorsy, but let’s be honest; I’m in it for the apparel. I have an unfounded obsession with L.L. Bean Boots and alpacas, and my favorite TV show is Gilmore Girls – TEAM JESS FOR LIFE. For my Millennial/Gen Zer’s, I am an Enneagram Type 3 and Mama Brene Brown makes me cry.

I hope to see you in one of our offices soon!  I’ll be at the Mobile office on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays and the Fairhope office Tuesdays & Thursdays.

Best wishes,

Dr. Abbie Parrish
